Acababa de descubrir una infidelidad en un vuelo de regreso de trabajo… y por alguna razón, en medio del aeropuerto, terminé sentada llorando frente a una monja que ni siquiera conocía.Le conté todo. Sin filtro. Sin miedo. Le pedí consejo como si me conociera de toda la vida… incluso sabiendo que una parte de mí quería quedarse en esa relación.Años después entendí que no era casualidad. Sus bailarinas son demasiado lindas; mis favoritas son las de mesh.📚 Explora @lxfactory, un antiguo complejo industrial convertido en un espacio creativo lleno de cafés, restaurantes, tiendas y librerías. Entra a Ler Devagar, su famosa librería.🍴 Cena en @pomme_eatery. Se hizo aún más conocido después de que Harry Styles comiera acá.🍸 Drinks en @hotelvalverdelisboa. Tiene un jardín/terraza escondido súper cute en pleno centro.🍦 Prueba @myka_greek. Es increíble la cantidad de tiempo que dedicamos a Es increíble la cantidad de tiempo que dedicamos a mejorar nuestra apariencia y lo poco que a veces dedicamos a mejorar quiénes somos.Y sí, cuidar tu físico importa. Entrenar, arreglarte, sentirte bien con lo que ves en el espejo… todo eso también es amor propio.Pero trabajar en tu exterior y olvidarte de tu interior no es crecimiento.Y ese “tienes que aceptarme como soy”… cuidado por qué hay una gran diferencia entre aceptarte como eres y usar “así soy” como excusa para nunca evolucionar como persona.También hay que trabajar en cómo tratamos a los demás. En nuestra empatía. En saber pedir perdón. En reconocer cuando estamos equivocados. En nuestros valores. En las heridas que terminamos proyectando sobre otras personas.Porque puedes cambiar tu cuerpo, tu pelo, tu ropa, tu cara…pero al final, la belleza puede hacer que alguien te mire. Tu carácter decide qué encuentra cuando realmente te conoce. ••• It’s incredible how much time we spend improving our appearance, and how little time we sometimes spend improving who we are.And yes, taking care of yourself physically matters. Working out, taking care of your appearance, feeling good about what you see in the mirror… that can be self-love too.But working on your outside while neglecting your inside isn’t growth.And that whole “you have to accept me for who I am” mindset? There’s a big difference between accepting yourself for who you are and using “this is just who I am” as an excuse to never evolve.We also need to work on how we treat people. Our empathy. Our ability to apologize. To admit when we’re wrong. Our values. The wounds we carry and sometimes project onto others.You can change your body, your hair, your clothes, your face…But beauty might make someone notice you. Sin distracciones. Solo un escenario, un piano y Ludovico Einaudi haciendo magia con sus manos.“Experience” es una de esas melodías que alteró mi brain chemistry para siempre. De esas que te hacen olvidar por un momento todo el caos por el cual estás atravesando y donde el tiempo parece detenerse por completo. Es la clase de música que logra poner en palabras emociones que ni siquiera sabías cómo expresar.Hace un año, mientras viajaba sola por Bali, compré estas entradas como regalo de cumpleaños para mi mamá. En ese momento no imaginaba todo lo que pasaría entre esa compra y esta noche.Sin quererlo, así también comenzó este viaje por Europa. Lo que empezó siendo un viaje con mi mamá terminó convirtiéndose en casi dos meses recorriendo el continente junto a ella, mi papá, mi hermana y mi tía donde hemos pasado tiempo de calidad en familia. Y al llegar a España, la vida me recordó que nada está garantizado. Me robaron una maleta completa con más de $8,000 en pertenencias. Y aunque perder tus cosas duele, experiencias como esta te recuerdan algo importante:Todo lo material es reemplazable. Los recuerdos no. Los momentos compartidos con las personas que amas tampoco.Sentarme junto a mi mamá a escuchar a uno de nuestros compositores favoritos del mundo fue un recordatorio de que el verdadero lujo nunca ha estado en las cosas que poseemos, sino en los momentos que vivimos y con quién los compartimos.No sé quién necesita leer esto, pero tu alma también necesita experiencias como esta.Y si tu alma necesita perrear con Benito, también se vale. Desde ver al Papa hasta presenciar un momento histórico: el sueño de Gaudí haciéndose realidad, 100 años después, con la inauguración de la Torre de Jesús de la Sagrada Familia.Lo más increíble es que mi familia y yo no teníamos idea de que ambos eventos ocurrían justo durante nuestro viaje. Fue pura suerte.Al final, España me recordó que un viaje no se define por lo peor que te pasa, sino por los recuerdos que te llevas.Gracias, España, por el caos, las lecciones y las historias que nunca voy a olvidar🇪🇸❤️ ••• My trip to Spain definitely started on the wrong foot.It began with an Airbnb that looked nothing like the photos and wasn’t even at the address we originally booked. I truly believe that change is what led to someone stealing a suitcase with over $7,000 USD worth of my belongings right outside the Airbnb.As if that wasn’t enough, we later discovered a working security camera inside the apartment.But plot twist: Spain also gave me some of the most unforgettable moments of my life. I got to see the Pope, witness a historic milestone as Gaudí’s dream came to life 100 years later with the inauguration of the Tower of Jesus at the Sagrada Família, experience the San Juan celebrations in Alicante, and accidentally end up doing Pilates right next to Diplo.The craziest part? My family and I had no idea any of these events were happening during the exact dates of our trip. Y quizás por eso a veces olvidamos lo afortunados que somos cuando la vida nos regala una buena.Ayer me despedí de mis padres, mi hermana y mi tía después de casi dos meses recorriendo Europa juntos.Hubo risas, desacuerdos, cambios de planes, momentos caóticos y muchos recuerdos que sé que me acompañarán para siempre.Llevo años viajando sola y estoy acostumbrada a tener mi espacio, mi rutina, así que no esperaba que su partida me fuera a pegar tanto.Pero ahora que vuelvo a estar sola, me doy cuenta de que algunas de las mejores partes del viaje no fueron los lugares que visitamos, sino las conversaciones, los desayunos largos y las personas con las que compartí cada día.Cuando piensas que una vida son apenas 80 veranos, te das cuenta de que el verdadero lujo no es poder viajar por el mundo.Es compartir la mesa con las personas que estuvieron ahí antes de tus éxitos, durante tus caídas y que seguirán ahí mucho después de que todo lo demás cambie❤️ ••• Family isn’t something we get to choose.
