Empecé a surfear este abril sin tener la menor idea de qué tipo de surfer quería llegar a ser. Unos meses, incontables caídas y muchas dosis de humildad después, me estoy dando cuenta de que aprender a surfear también es descubrir qué tipo de surf se siente más como tú.Así que pasé una semana probando algo completamente diferente: tablas más largas, olas más suaves, cross-stepping, drop knees y una forma totalmente nueva de moverme sobre el agua.Gracias @lapointcamps por darme la oportunidad de explorar el arte del longboard aquí en Bali. Creo que después de todo puede que sea una longboard girl 🌊🏄‍♀️

I started surfing this April with absolutely no idea what kind of surfer I wanted to become. A few months, countless wipeouts, and plenty of humbling moments later, I’m realizing that learning to surf is also about discovering what kind of surfing feels like you.So I spent a week trying something completely different: longer boards, softer waves, cross-stepping, drop knees, and a whole new way of moving on the water.Thank you Lapoint for giving me the chance to explore the art of longboarding here in Bali🌊🏄‍♀️ I think I might be a longboard girl after all🤍

La familia no se escoge. Y quizás por eso a veces olvidamos lo afortunados que somos cuando la vida nos regala una buena.Ayer me despedí de mis padres, mi hermana y mi tía después de casi dos meses recorriendo Europa juntos.Hubo risas, desacuerdos, cambios de planes, momentos caóticos y muchos recuerdos que sé que me acompañarán para siempre.Llevo años viajando sola y estoy acostumbrada a tener mi espacio, mi rutina, así que no esperaba que su partida me fuera a pegar tanto.Pero ahora que vuelvo a estar sola, me doy cuenta de que algunas de las mejores partes del viaje no fueron los lugares que visitamos, sino las conversaciones, los desayunos largos y las personas con las que compartí cada día.Cuando piensas que una vida son apenas 80 veranos, te das cuenta de que el verdadero lujo no es poder viajar por el mundo.Es compartir la mesa con las personas que estuvieron ahí antes de tus éxitos, durante tus caídas y que seguirán ahí mucho después de que todo lo demás cambie❤️

Family isn’t something we get to choose. And maybe that’s why we sometimes forget how lucky we are when life gives us a good one.Yesterday, I said goodbye to my parents, my sister, and my aunt after nearly two months traveling across Europe together.There was laughter, disagreements, unexpected changes of plans, chaotic moments, and countless memories I know I’ll carry with me forever.I’ve spent years traveling solo and I’m very used to having my own space, so I didn’t expect their departure to affect me this much.But now that I’m back on my own, I realize that some of the best parts of this trip had nothing to do with the places we visited. They were the conversations, the long breakfasts, and the people I shared each day with.When you realize that a lifetime is only about 80 summers, you begin to understand that the real luxury isn’t being able to travel the world.It’s who gets to sit at the table with you❤️

Mientras gran parte de Madrid estaba perreando con Benito, algunos decidimos pasar dos horas sentados en silencio, con la piel erizada y las emociones completamente desreguladas por un piano.Sin conversaciones. Sin distracciones. Solo un escenario, un piano y Ludovico Einaudi haciendo magia con sus manos.“Experience” es una de esas melodías que alteró mi brain chemistry para siempre. De esas que te hacen olvidar por un momento todo el caos por el cual estás atravesando y donde el tiempo parece detenerse por completo. Es la clase de música que logra poner en palabras emociones que ni siquiera sabías cómo expresar.Hace un año, mientras viajaba sola por Bali, compré estas entradas como regalo de cumpleaños para mi mamá. En ese momento no imaginaba todo lo que pasaría entre esa compra y esta noche.Sin quererlo, así también comenzó este viaje por Europa. Lo que empezó siendo un viaje con mi mamá terminó convirtiéndose en casi dos meses recorriendo el continente junto a ella, mi papá, mi hermana y mi tía donde hemos pasado tiempo de calidad en familia. Y al llegar a España, la vida me recordó que nada está garantizado. Me robaron una maleta completa con más de $8,000 en pertenencias. Y aunque perder tus cosas duele, experiencias como esta te recuerdan algo importante:Todo lo material es reemplazable. Los recuerdos no. Los momentos compartidos con las personas que amas tampoco.Sentarme junto a mi mamá a escuchar a uno de nuestros compositores favoritos del mundo fue un recordatorio de que el verdadero lujo nunca ha estado en las cosas que poseemos, sino en los momentos que vivimos y con quién los compartimos.No sé quién necesita leer esto, pero tu alma también necesita experiencias como esta.Y si tu alma necesita perrear con Benito, también se vale. Yo simplemente elegí al maestro Ludovico y lo volvería hacer mil veces más 🎹✨Ver a Ludovico Einaudi en vivo fue un sueño hecho realidad. Y si estás en Europa este verano, aprovecha que sigue de gira.

Antes escogía mis viajes por todo lo que podía hacer. Ahora los escojo por cómo quiero vivir.Después de tantos años viajando por el mundo, mis prioridades cambiaron. Un espacio bonito para trabajar o descansar. Mis rutinas. Mañanas sin correr.
