10 reasons to stay in Artiem Madrid Hotel, Spain

After spending 5 months on the African continent and 2 weeks in Thailand, it was about time for an Europe trip adventure.

The last time I visited Europe was before I started my blogging career about 4 years ago – WOW it’s amazing how time flies right? So I was really craving for this adventure, but above all  I was looking forward to shoot some autumn winter pics for my Instagram  feed hahahaha.

Many of you have always asked me why I only take pictures on the beach and on safaris!! So this would be the perfect opportunity to capture different kind off photos for you guys 🙂

This trip to Europe came along because I was going to see one of my best friends from Panama in Barcelona for a project we were going to shoot together. Hopefully I will tell you guys more about this project soon.

Since my friend was not yet in Spain I had some free time before meeting her, so I was debating whether to go to London or Madrid for a few days.

In the end decide to explore more Spain and go to Madrid since it was much easier for me to go to Barcelona after, had many friends there and I speak the same language which made it easier for me. Believe it or not, but having spent almost a year in Africa made me appreciate how much I like to speak Spanish.

When I planned to visit Madrid, the first thing I did was write to one of my best friends in Panama: Nini. She studied her master’s degree in Madrid, so I asked for her recommendations and to connect me with her local friends.

Something I like to do when traveling is to connect with old friends or friends of my friends because I like to listen to their recommendations and in case of an emergency I always have someone who can help me.

As it was my first time in Madrid and in Spain I wanted to look for a comfortable, quiet hotel where I could work since I had a lot of work to do. But at the same time something that would be close to the tourist areas and the best shopping districts. I’ve heard Spain is famous for shopping so it was my perfect opportunity!

Everything I had in my suitcase were bikinis and tropical clothes which did not help me at all, because when I planned my Europe trip I forgot the small detail that I was visiting in the middle of autumn- winter (ups!) So I urgently needed to make some serious winter shopping’s.

My house while my stay in Madrid was Artiem Fresh People Hotels that belongs to a beautiful spanish family in Menorca who opened doors in Madrid not long ago inaugurating its first urban-green hotel.

Artiem Madrid is the perfect combination between work and rest while doing business in the city or in my case doing online business while enjoying a beautiful city. Believe me, for those digital nomads this hotel is a great option.

Atrium Madrid has 83 rooms of 4 types all designed to use natural light, are super spacious to give you a large working space or to make your yoga stretches or exercises in your room. Finding a spacious hotel room in Europe believe is not easy!

I swear as my first visit in Madrid I could not have imagined a better hotel to stay since it really made my stay much more comfortable, and memorable without having to fall behind with the amount of work I had pending.

I decided to make a list of 10 reasons why this has to be your next hotel when you visit Madrid:

  1. It is located in a neighborhood called Juan Perez Zúñiga which is quite quiet. Not too far or too close to the airport (7km), very close to IFEMA and only 10-15 minutes from the city center.
  2. It is a green hotel that honestly for me is a very important part of how to contribute to the environment.
  3. It has excellent wifi! As digital nomad this is super important for me since I must always be connected for work, but how many times have you seen that the hotel where you stay says it has good wifi, but any of your Dropbox files gets download or you cannot even upload an Instagram photo? With Artiem Madrid this was not my case. Literally I was able to download all my Dropbox files (2567 files to be exact) in less than 15 minutes. Fast Wifi is just a detail.
  4. The hotel manager is very handsome!! He drives a motorcycle and his name is Will. If you are lucky like me, he might take you for your first ride on a motorcycle!
  5. It has the most comfortable beds and pillows so you can sleep for hours. I swear they are magical!
  6. The hotel breakfast is delicious – from their own egg, bread, juice stations to their own bowls station! The bowls stations were definitely my favourites because I love the acai bowls.
  7. The staff is exceptional- from the moment I checked in, to my breakfast staff in the morning, to the cleaning staff, to the moment I check out- Everyone were all super friendly and friendly.
  8. Cute corners and spaces to work. If you get tired of your room there is a wide variety of cute corners so you can get inspired and work. Best of all, they provide coffee and snacks  for free all day.
  9. They offer Breakfast in bed- definitely the best breakfast in bed I could have imagined- super healthy, delicious and best of all photogenic lol
  10. It has a gym – being on the road almost all the time is so difficult to keep your figure. So the fact that I had a gym for me is a super plus especially in Europe because only a very few hotels offer this.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and that I have managed to convince you that you must stay at Artiem Madrid the next time you are in Madrid.

I want to thank all the staff of Artiem Fresh People Hotels and Will for all their hospitality while I stayed here! Thank you!

Love

Marcy
