Where to stay in Paris?

Continuing with my adventures in Europe, today I want to talk about a question that I have even asked myself many times: Where can I find in Paris a hotel that ticks the box for all these 3 things:

Beautiful

Cheap

Good location

Let’s be honest, Paris can be one of the most expensive cities and finding hotels can sometimes be a headache.

I remember that in my first Europe trip I started in Paris and I was in charge of looking for the hotel. I want to confess that after this trip my friends almost stopped talking to me because I chose a hotel with an excellent location since it was close to the Eiffel Tower and it was super cheap but the service was terrible and our bags in the room they could not even be opened for lack of space lol. After this experience I learned the cost of returning to earn the trust of my friends, and to let me keep choosing hotels in the next trips was super difficult lol.

But as a good traveler, time and experiences is what makes one an expert. So, today I want to share two hotel recommendations that I discovered recently that will facilitate your stay and pocket on your next trip to Paris.

As you know earlier this summer I was in Paris and discovered two sister properties of Parisian boutique hotels with excellent locations, nice facilities, good service and a super decent size considering they are hotels in Europe (I promise you that you can open your bags without any problem lol): Hotel Chouette and Hotel Le Senat.

Hotel Chouette

This is located at 237 Rue de la Convention-75015 with easy access to public transport to discover the city of love. For reference I have calculated the distances of some emblematic monuments that you will surely visit to see how well located it is:

Luxembourg Gardens 10 minutes

Arc de Triomphe 14 minutes

Eiffel Tower 9 minutes

Chouette in French means owl, which is the mascot and symbol of the hotel. This gives a super cute, photogenic personality to the property. As soon as you enter the hotel you will see this beautiful owl in all the hotel facilities. This has a more youthful, urban vibe than its sister property Le Senat.

The rooms are super comfortable, modern and colorful with a view of the charming streets of Paris that you will love to appreciate from the window of your room. Chouette Hotel offers several sizes of rooms according to your needs:

  • Double: room of 16 m2 spacious for a couple or friends. Maximum two people and this comes with the option of a double bed.
  • Twin: room of 16 m2 spacious for a couple or friends. Maximum two people and comes with two single beds.
  • Executive doublé / twin: room of 20 m2 for a couple or friends. They fit two people maximum. You have the option of requesting it with 2 single beds or a double bed.
  • Privilege room: this is a room of 22 m2 for a small family or group of friends of maximum 3 people.
  • Suite: this is a room of 30 m2 for family or friends of a group of maximum 4 people. It offers the maximum comfort of two areas inside the room to sleep.

Chouette hotel also offers a delicious and fresh full buffet breakfast to charge your energy so you can explore this beautiful city.

Let’s talk about the WiFi ! – This is very good and when looking for hotels is something that I pay great attention to. Chouette hotel also offers a premium wifi.

The prices of this hotel may vary depending on your dates, visiting season and the type of room. However I assure you that it is a fairly cheap price that ranges from $75 to about $180 in a high season price.

In fact I am doing a competition on my account until today so you can win 2 nights with breakfast included for two at Chouette Hotel, and the winner can choose the dates you want to visit Paris. This is open internationally and to participate you have to follow the rules of my Instagram post here.

Hotel Le Senat:

This other property has a very different atmosphere to its sister property since it is located in a different areas but offers beautiful views from the terraces of its rooms.

Le Senat is located at 10 rue de variguard at 75006 close to all public transport links and in the heart of the left bank of the Seine between the popular Saint German des Pres district and The Latin Quarter. Here I have calculated the distance of some monuments near the hotel:

Luxembourg Gardens 3 minutes

Notre Dame 6 minutes

Pantheon 3 minutes

Saint Etienne du Mont 4 minutes

Louvre Museum 8 minutes

Arc de Triomphe 16 minutes

Eiffel Tower 13 minutes

Hotel Le Senat has a more classical, luxurious atmosphere than its sister property Chouette. This property offers around 41 rooms with 5 types of rooms: they are divided into superior, deluxe, duplex terrace, suite and family room. All are slightly larger than the others in space and with better views.

I had the opportunity to stay in a two-story duplex with an incredible view of the terrace where I could enjoy breakfast with the rooftops and appreciate some iconic landmarks such as Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower from my balcony.

The prices of this hotel may vary depending on your dates too, the visiting season and the type of room. This is a bit more expensive than its sister property but technically it has a better location and offers a more premium service in its rooms. Prices can be roughly between $150 to about $308 in the high season.

I will also be making a competition of this hotel soon in my account so keep an eye out for it, and you can win 2 nights in this beautiful hotel with breakfast included for two people!

Hope you enjoy reading this post and my hotel recommendations. Good luck to all the people that entered the giveaway!
