Acababa de descubrir una infidelidad en un vuelo de regreso de trabajo… y por alguna razón, en medio del aeropuerto, terminé sentada llorando frente a una monja que ni siquiera conocía.Le conté todo. Sin filtro. Sin miedo. Le pedí consejo como si me conociera de toda la vida… incluso sabiendo que una parte de mí quería quedarse en esa relación.Años después entendí que no era casualidad. No era sobre ella… era sobre cómo me hizo sentir su presencia.Con los años he notado que muchas personas se acercan a mí, de la misma forma en que yo lo hice con aquella monja en el aeropuerto de Lima, a contarme sus historias… y para mí es algo profundamente hermoso darme cuenta de que tu energía siempre habla más fuerte que cómo te ves, que lo que dices o que lo que muestras.Y eso no se puede fingir. No es apariencia, no es discurso… es algo más sutil. No filter, no fear… as if she’d known me my whole life.Years later, I realized it wasn’t about her it was about how I felt in her presence.Over time, I’ve noticed people often open up to me the same way. Ahora los escojo por cómo quiero vivir.Después de tantos años viajando por el mundo, mis prioridades cambiaron. Creo que oficialmente necesito retirarme del perso Creo que oficialmente necesito retirarme del personaje de “dejé mi trabajo corporativo para viajar por el mundo”.Lo exprimí durante una década. Ya estuvo bueno. No es que viajar haya dejado de gustarme, pero mis prioridades cambiaron un poco.Ahora me emociona surfear, jugar tennis, boxear, intentar handstands… básicamente cualquier actividad capaz de destruir mi ego en menos de una hora.Porque qué aburrido llegar a los 30s y decidir que ya sabemos quiénes somos y en qué somos buenos cuando hay miles de cosas que no hemos ni probado.Welcome to the rebrand:Mujer en sus 30s colecciona hobbies innecesariamente difíciles porque, aparentemente, vivir tranquila no le genera suficiente emoción.¿Soy mala? Perfecto. ¿Me saca de mi zona de confort? Excelente. ¿Puedo humillarme públicamente? SIGN ME UP.Pero fuera de broma, hay algo demasiado bonito en volver a ser principiante de adulto.Empezar de cero. Suck at something. Frustrarte. Volver a intentarlo.
