Ya estuvo bueno. No es que viajar haya dejado de gustarme, pero mis prioridades cambiaron un poco.Ahora me emociona surfear, jugar tennis, boxear, intentar handstands… básicamente cualquier actividad capaz de destruir mi ego en menos de una hora.Porque qué aburrido llegar a los 30s y decidir que ya sabemos quiénes somos y en qué somos buenos cuando hay miles de cosas que no hemos ni probado.Welcome to the rebrand:Mujer en sus 30s colecciona hobbies innecesariamente difíciles porque, aparentemente, vivir tranquila no le genera suficiente emoción.¿Soy mala? Perfecto. ¿Me saca de mi zona de confort? Excelente. ¿Puedo humillarme públicamente? SIGN ME UP.Pero fuera de broma, hay algo demasiado bonito en volver a ser principiante de adulto.Empezar de cero. Y quizás por eso a veces olvidamos lo afortunados que somos cuando la vida nos regala una buena.Ayer me despedí de mis padres, mi hermana y mi tía después de casi dos meses recorriendo Europa juntos.Hubo risas, desacuerdos, cambios de planes, momentos caóticos y muchos recuerdos que sé que me acompañarán para siempre.Llevo años viajando sola y estoy acostumbrada a tener mi espacio, mi rutina, así que no esperaba que su partida me fuera a pegar tanto.Pero ahora que vuelvo a estar sola, me doy cuenta de que algunas de las mejores partes del viaje no fueron los lugares que visitamos, sino las conversaciones, los desayunos largos y las personas con las que compartí cada día.Cuando piensas que una vida son apenas 80 veranos, te das cuenta de que el verdadero lujo no es poder viajar por el mundo.Es compartir la mesa con las personas que estuvieron ahí antes de tus éxitos, durante tus caídas y que seguirán ahí mucho después de que todo lo demás cambie❤️ ••• Family isn’t something we get to choose. Es que gran parte del mundo está diseñado económicamente para parejas.Es más, hasta los hoteles a veces cobran más por una habitación con una cama que por una con dos camas. ¡EXPLÍQUENME CÓMO TIENE SENTIDO!😂Alquiler, hoteles, comida, viajes… cuando eres una sola persona, no hay nadie con quien dividir nada.Y quizás por eso el verdadero flex no es decir “no necesito a nadie”, sino construir una vida que puedas sostener sola y tener la libertad de elegir a alguien porque lo amas, no porque necesitas un segundo ingreso para sobrevivir.Eso sí me parece independencia ••• Surviving SOLO in an economy designed for two incomes IS the real flex.Nobody talks enough about the “single tax.” It’s not that being single is expensive. It’s that so much of the world is financially designed for couples.Even hotels sometimes charge more for a room with one bed than for one with two beds. ¿Soy yo o cada año los hoteles encuentran nuevas f ¿Soy yo o cada año los hoteles encuentran nuevas formas de venderte menos tiempo por más dinero?Después de 10 años viajando, tengo una teoría: las habitaciones son cada vez más caras mientras las horas que puedes disfrutarlas son cada vez menos.En este viaje por Europa me encontré con varios hoteles donde el check-in era hasta las 4 pm y el check-out a las 10 u 11 am.Para mí la lógica sería sencilla: si entro a las 4 pm, debería poder quedarme hasta las 4 pm del día siguiente. Al final estoy pagando una noche completa, ¿no?¿O soy la única que piensa que “una noche de hotel” ya no significa una noche completa? 👀La matemática no me da.A este ritmo, en unos años el check-in será a las 6 pm, el check-out a las 9 am y nos seguirán llamando “una noche” 😂🏨 ••• Is it just me, or do hotels keep finding new ways to charge you more for less time in the room?After 10 years of traveling, I have a theory: hotel rooms keep getting more expensive while the number of hours you can actually enjoy them keeps getting shorter.On this trip through Europe, I stayed at several hotels where check-in was at 4 pm and check-out was at 10 or 11 am.To me, the logic seems simple: if I check in at 4 pm, I should be able to stay until 4 pm the next day. Fue pura suerte.Al final, España me recordó que un viaje no se define por lo peor que te pasa, sino por los recuerdos que te llevas.Gracias, España, por el caos, las lecciones y las historias que nunca voy a olvidar🇪🇸❤️ ••• My trip to Spain definitely started on the wrong foot.It began with an Airbnb that looked nothing like the photos and wasn’t even at the address we originally booked. I truly believe that change is what led to someone stealing a suitcase with over $7,000 USD worth of my belongings right outside the Airbnb.As if that wasn’t enough, we later discovered a working security camera inside the apartment.But plot twist: Spain also gave me some of the most unforgettable moments of my life. I got to see the Pope, witness a historic milestone as Gaudí’s dream came to life 100 years later with the inauguration of the Tower of Jesus at the Sagrada Família, experience the San Juan celebrations in Alicante, and accidentally end up doing Pilates right next to Diplo.The craziest part? My family and I had no idea any of these events were happening during the exact dates of our trip. The bigger question is: after decades of progress, why is sexualizing women still so normalized?It’s incredible how many people think this conversation is about Sydney, when the bigger picture is right here….We’re in 2026…the internet has existed for decades. Culture has evolved and our understanding of representation has evolved. Context, history and impact matter. Something being normalized 20 or 30 years ago isn’t an argument for continuing to normalize it today.And in this case, we’re not even selling fashion or beauty. We’re selling gambling…an industry associated with addiction and devastating consequences for families and peoples life’s while using female sexuality to make it more desirable.And somehow the response is: “Sex sells. It worked. Everyone’s talking about it.”That’s the part that should make us uncomfortable…. If views and controversy are all it takes to call something brilliant or clever marketing, the bar is painfully low!!!Marketing doesn’t exist in a vacuum.
