Spa Mosaic, Panama

Good morning beautiful peeps! Any plans for your first weekend of June?

Today I want to share with all of you a little bit about how to lead a balance between your professional and your personal life. I’m sure many of you know that apart from being blogger I also work for a luxury brand in Panama as marketing and communications manager for Latin America. In fact many of you have asked me how many vacations do I have? Or if my work is very flexible in regards schedule because you always see me traveling. The truth is that my job is full time like any other job. My schedule is for 8 hours a day from Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

I’m about to turn 8 years with the same brand and the truth is that I’ve used most of my vacation. In fact I have to be very wise in how I spend the rest since I don’t have too many left. My key to plan my trips without using my vacation is “planning”. I plan most of my trips in advance and organize them on the weekends. If that involves travel on a Friday night believe me I will do it; every minute counts for me. Additional to that I also tried to plan on holidays. One of the advantages of living in Panama apart from having many holidays is that we also have a month’s vacation per year worked; while in other countries they only get 15 days. Crazy, right?

I’ve always considered myself a workaholic in my job especially if you really enjoy what you do. Before I used to be the girl who always stayed late at the office or work on the weekends without anyone asking it. Yep, that’s how much I love my work (I actually got involved into discussion in my past relationships for this. They always said I worked too much). But I guess as we mature or perhaps when we open our own professional path you realize that work is work. The sacrifices you make for your work are not worth getting lost  for something that is very important in your personal life either with your family, your friends or even that quality time for yourself. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying  don’t spend a few extra hours at the office Lol. But what I mean is that it is important to have limits. I think one of the few things we can control in life is time.

So it took me time to set boundries and limits with my life and learn to enjoy  and invest that time in something you love. This is why you all see me a little more active on the blog. In fact, one of the activities I like is to spend time with myself. Some may say I’m lonely but I really really enjoy that time for me  like: going to the beauty salon, eating alone occasionally, going shopping alone, cook a delicious dinner for me, I have even travel alone (its amazing). Pampering yourself without anyone else approvals believe is one of the best feelings in the world.

One of the activities which I am a huge fan is to go to brunch and go to the spa’s. Really I think I’ve tried all spas and brunches around Panama (including hotels).  Actually recently I went to one called Spa Mosaic and after an amazing experience I ‘m seriously thinking making this my weekly routine.

I don’t know if it was the way I spend the rest of my day. But that day was a good day for me. I left the office, I went to the mall to do some damage to my credit card (in Zara), then I went to the Spa and after leaving the spa I pass for some healthy and delicious dessert: a yogurt.

The best routine I had always applied to rid the stress was go shopping Lol. The only bad thing of going shopping is that you coul really make a lot of damage to your bank account Lol. But instead my friend the spa has better benefits because not only you relax but is also very good for your body, mind and skin. If you are one of those girls with busy routines believe me it is the best therapy for yourself.

The Spa Mosaic located in Multipalza is one of the best (confirmed by someone who has visited almost all of the Panama spa’s including hotels) and this one really have a great attention and an amazing range of treatments you can choose from. The Spa Mosaic Multiplaza is on the second floor of the luxury area in front of Roberto Cavalli.

The Spa Mosaic offers treatments from 25 minutes to 105 minutes and a variety of treatments depending on what you want. They offer treatments “Aqua” consisting of different types of bathroom as detox, relaxation, rose petals, restorers. Body treatments like peels, reducers, anti-aging and future treatments for breast and relaxation treatments made from therapeutic massages, oriental, reflexology, etc.

After the amazing massage I went to the relaxation room to drink a rich and delicious hot tea along with healthy snacks. To add to this experience, I also went to enjoy the area of the thermal bath with hot water and enjoy the sauna for a few minutes as well.

On the next visit I want to do the bath of roses. For sure if I do it I will tell you how it goes.

BTW Father’s day is coming up soon… What are you guys getting to your dads? I think getting a gift certificate from Spa Mosaic is a very cool and different gift for him. A all day for them? Why not!! Men’s also deserve to be pampered right?

I hope you enjoyed this post.

Have a great weekend!

Love,

What a great post. I think it is always difficult to find the right balance between work and personal time especially when you love what you do. It’s amazing that you get to travel often and see the world. But it’s great that you enjoy downtime and doing things yourself. I actually prefer shopping myself too and doing things around the house alone. Makes things more efficient, right? Thanks for sharing and the spa looks phenomenal! Would love to visit Panama one day! xoxo, Christine

Your spa experience looks so relaxing and makes me wish I was experiencing the same thing right now! It’s actually been a while since I’ve visited a spa (none in LA where I live now actually), so I’m hoping to find a good one to go to soon! Hope you’re having a great weekend xo, sharon
