I think many of you know this was my first time attending to Costa Rica Fashion Week, and I was beyond excited for this opportunity.
I have to be honest but most f the time I found a hard time to get on the right time (FYI in Panama this is very normal, everyone blames the traffic LOL) but in CR actually they are very punctual, so I tried my best to arrived to the right time, but unfortunately during the entire Fashion Weeks events I couldn’t make it and I blame my dear friend Waze. I didn’t know the addresses or the streets so I was trying to keep track with Waze but didn’t work at all.
These are the Designers that presented on the first day:
J Lang, Toribio, Maaji Swimwear, Diego Álvarez, Sergio Dávila.
J Lang: Fringe, fringe and more fringe = so definitely was one of my favorites of the day and even the entire FW. I’m in love of the fringe trend.
Diego Álvarez he presented a more urban Collection where the Black, White and Blue were the denominating colors.
Sergio Dávila, he presented proposal for Men and Women’s. What I liked the most was they way he mixed the textures with the prints; there was one in particular with a Palms print, which I felled in love.
Toribio is a menswear designer. His collection was very interesting, the textures he used in his designs were stunning and so different, definitely very classic and elegant. The denominating colors were black, white and pops of reds.
Maaji Swimwear is a Colombian swimwear brand; I know there are a lot of girls here that know this brand. I found the runway very fun, young, and colorful.
I have always love maaji, is actually one of my favorite swimwear brands and I actually own several of them.
