It’s been a few weeks and months quite busy at work, with new releases, events, budget planning and plans for next year, I been leaving the office almost 11pm, which is why I’ve been a little lost from the blogosphere.
However almost ending the week we received an invitation from Vogue to celebrate their 15th anniversary for Vogue Mexico and Latin America in Acapulco. The joy, excitement and happiness were enormous to hear this news not only because it was exactly what I needed after such a hard week of work, but also because who does not like to attend To the most fashionable celebration.
Despite only going for a weekend with a stopover in Mexico City, that to me was not a biggie deal; my stress more than anything was what should I wear??
Since we are talking about the most important fashion magazine in the world has invited you to their anniversary celebration in Acapulco.
Whenever I travel for work or pleasure take the opportunity to do things for my blog and it was in my plans for this trip, but unfortunately I couldn’t do anything even though I had everything organized with the photographer in Acapulco. Can you believe that my luggage was lost!! I was suffering since I had all my clothes and did not brought a carryon, everything I Check with the airline and my suitcase did not arrive until the next day, which meant I missed the welcome cocktail and obviously do some “mandatory” shopping which I’m always in a mood to do.
Despite the disappointment I had with the airline over the loss of my suitcase, I didn’t let this drop my mood, so I went to the hotel where Vogue’s team received me in the beautiful Banyan Tree Hotel.
The hotel is gorgeous, has a spectacular view, not to mention the rooms are private cabins where you have your own pool, view, and all the amenities you could imagine to not leaving your cabin. I think this is what helped me get off the stress of the loss of my bag; the hotel really helped me relax myself.
The day of the big celebration my bag in the morning had not yet arrived, so I went to the shopping mall for a Plan B and do some sightseeing where I visited La Quebrada in Acapulco, where they make a show of professional divers, 100% recommended.
When I arrive four hours before the event thankfully my bag had arrived, so I started getting ready for the big celebration. I decided to wear a gray dress with a sexy back from Ralph Lauren Collection.
The celebration took place in the home of John Wayne, where input from the decor, to the closing dinner and fireworks was amazing, I think the pictures speak for themselves.
It was an amazing weekend and can’t find the words to thank Kelly and Eva for inviting me to this great celebration of the history of fashion. I am extremely grateful for this kind invitation, and especially for giving us your support and continue to take into account our beautiful Panama, I really hope to continue growing together.
