Veranda Resorts, Mauricio

Después de visitar el Mundo Heritage nuestro próximo destino era Veranda Resorts.

No sé ustedes, pero yo jamás había escuchado hablar del concepto “bare foot” Bueno quiero confesar que era virgen de este concepto hasta que tuve la oportunidad de hospedarme en el primer hotel “bare foot” que he visitado. Técnicamente significa andar descalzo todo el día donde el tono establecido del hotel es informalidad y relajación absoluta.

Tengo que decir que el concepto me encanta y me parece súper diferente. Apenas llegamos a Veranda Pointe Aux Biches Robert y yo pudimos sentir esas vibras relajadas ya que desde el momento que haces check in eres invitado a quitarte los zapatos a caminar en todas las instalaciones que están cubiertas de arena.  Este hotel es un pequeño boutique hotel con solo 115 habitaciones.

La primera actividad que hice fue visitar el Seven Colour Spa con un masaje y pedicure en mis pies para poder prepárame para las actividades que teníamos planeadas. Teníamos pensado pasar la mayoría del tiempo afuera del hotel para poder explorar más sobre la belleza de Mauricio.

Nuestro recorrido empezó con un paseo en catamarán a las aguas cristalinas del océano indico.  El paseo empezó desde las 7am para regresar en el atardecer tipo 5:00pm. Dentro de las actividades para hacer en el catamarán hicimos snorkleing, hicimos una visita a la isla donde pudimos relajarnos a tomar sol y disfrutar de un rico y casero almuerzo de bbq. Tengo que decir que fue más divertido de lo esperado gracias a los hosts del catamarán que fueron realmente graciosos, amigables y atentos.

El día siguiente la actividad que teníamos planeada era andar en bicicleta en el pueblo y poder conocer más sobre su cultura. Mientras explorábamos el pueblo en bicicleta pudimos conocer las playas publicas donde tuvimos la oportunidad de refrescarnos con las vitaminas diarias del día: agua de coco y un snack súper saludable (una rica y refrescante una dulce). Continuamos nuestro tour viendo y aprendiendo más sobre los local shops de artesanías  locales.

Después del tour en bicicleta llegamos al hotel para almorzar y poder continuar nuestro tour en Grand Baie donde visitamos el fish market, los diferentes templos hindús. Si algunas veces visitan Mauricio de seguro no pueden perderse ver los templos ya que cuentan con los templos hindús más lindos que he visitado. Son súper coloridos y pintorescos.

    As always I enjoyed your post as they are like a getaway from my everyday life and I get to dream myself into someplace in paradise which is so much needed right now.     Okay you may not believe this, but even being a fashion blogger, I do not like wearing shoes or slippers of any sort around the house. I’m always barefoot, so I would fit right in at this hotel! I would also enjoy taking a catamaran ride on the Indian Ocean. What a beautiful region of the globe to explore! Sounds like quite the experience to me 🙂
