Fall foliage typically peaks from mid-November to early December across much of Japan, although northern regions turn earlier. I feel like peak foliage has been arriving later in recent years, so keep that in mind when planning!I actually spent my birthday in Japan on November 27, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Desde ver al Papa hasta presenciar un momento histórico: el sueño de Gaudí haciéndose realidad, 100 años después, con la inauguración de la Torre de Jesús de la Sagrada Familia.Lo más increíble es que mi familia y yo no teníamos idea de que ambos eventos ocurrían justo durante nuestro viaje. Fue pura suerte.Al final, España me recordó que un viaje no se define por lo peor que te pasa, sino por los recuerdos que te llevas.Gracias, España, por el caos, las lecciones y las historias que nunca voy a olvidar🇪🇸❤️ ••• My trip to Spain definitely started on the wrong foot.It began with an Airbnb that looked nothing like the photos and wasn’t even at the address we originally booked. I truly believe that change is what led to someone stealing a suitcase with over $7,000 USD worth of my belongings right outside the Airbnb.As if that wasn’t enough, we later discovered a working security camera inside the apartment.But plot twist: Spain also gave me some of the most unforgettable moments of my life. I got to see the Pope, witness a historic milestone as Gaudí’s dream came to life 100 years later with the inauguration of the Tower of Jesus at the Sagrada Família, experience the San Juan celebrations in Alicante, and accidentally end up doing Pilates right next to Diplo.The craziest part? My family and I had no idea any of these events were happening during the exact dates of our trip. We were simply in the right place at the right time.In the end, Spain reminded me that a trip isn’t defined by the worst thing that happens to you—it’s defined by the memories you bring home.Thank you, Spain, for the chaos, the lessons, and the unforgettable stories🇪🇸❤️ •••• #españa #airbnb #papaleonxiv #sagradafamilia #travel

But how much do we actually understand about the countries we claim to know?I’ve spent years traveling, creating content, and sharing the beauty of this planet. And I’m not going to pretend I’m above the culture I’m questioning. I’m part of it, too.But the more I travel, the more I realize how easy it is to admire a place without understanding its reality.Bali is a perfect example.Millions visit this island every year, drawn to its Instagram-worthy paradise, while elsewhere in Indonesia, deforestation, habitat destruction, and environmental degradation threaten entire ecosystems.In Kalimantan, orangutans are losing their habitats, and communities are losing the forests they depend on.While some are losing their homes, others are busy finding the perfect angle for Instagram.We have time to create beautiful content, consume it, and build businesses around these destinations. Yet somehow, finding five minutes to care about what happens to them seems like too much to ask.This isn’t about giving up travel, enjoying your vacations any less, or never posting another beautiful photograph.It’s about understanding that the places we visit aren’t just backdrops for our content. They’re home to people, wildlife, and ecosystems that deserve more than our admiration.Because loving a place for its beauty means very little if we’re indifferent to its destruction.Share this post. No lo suficientemente “asiática” por ser más morena.Y todavía hay personas que no entienden que ser de raza mixta existe😅Entonces, cuando no pueden ponerte en una caja, proyectan, cuestionan y intentan de definirte.Y esa probablemente es la historia de muchos niños mixtos en el mundo.Pero tú nunca fuiste el problema. Lo fueron sus limitaciones.Si eres mixt@ como yo, tu mezcla es rara, única y hermosa.
