On my roadtrip through Yucatan I had the opportunity to stay in true hidden gem of the region called: Chabl\u00e9 Resort & Spa.<\/a><\/p>\n

By far this has been one of the best hotels where I have stayed and that made my experience in Yucatan much more special.<\/p>\n

In fact I felt incredibly fortunate to be able to stay at this property as I realized this hotel has won many awards. Among the most important are: Big Sleep Awards – NatGeo Traveler, 2018 The 7 Best Spas in the World 2018 -Tatler Magazine, # 1 Hotel in Eastern Mexico- Conde Nast Reader’s Choice Awards, Best Hotel in the World for Architecture and Design- Prix Versailles 2017<\/p>\n

About Chabl\u00e9 Resort<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Chabl\u00e9 Resort<\/a> is located in the Yucatan Peninsula, the heart of the Mayan world. It is only 25 minutes from M\u00e9rida (capital), in a town called Ch\u00f3cola.<\/p>\n

This property celebrates the union of ancestral traditions, nature and comfort in an isolated environment that causes relaxation, health and well-being.<\/p>\n

Design<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Chabl\u00e9 resor<\/a>t has more than 750 acres of property in Ch\u00f3cola, which consists of 36 casitas and 4 family villas of exquisite contemporary design. Each casita has its private pool, terrace and huge glass bathrooms surrounded by pure nature which is created in order to provide an intimate, spacious and loving universe.<\/p>\n

My favorite part of my casita was undoubtedly the pool area as I was able to spend my afternoons relaxing in a hammock hanging above the pool, which was my favorite spot.<\/p>\n

Chabl\u00e9 Resort Spa<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The energy axis of this property is the cenote, which makes this spa unique in the world. This source of sacred water is the focal point of each of the private cabins that seem suspended in the jungle, where treatments and massages are given.<\/p>\n

Food<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

I think also one of my favorites parts of my stay here. Every meal I had here was so exceptional. The gastronomic offer of Chabl\u00e9 was designed by the renowned Chef Jorge Vallejo, who was recently awarded as the best Chef in Mexico, whose restaurant Quintonil occupies the eleventh place on the list “The 50 best restaurants in the world” by S. Pellegrino.<\/p>\n

Chabl\u00e9 offers 3 different restaurants within the property where I had the opportunity to try all:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Xi’im: this means “corn” in maya. It is a refined environment, with a sophisticated menu that is an innovative mix of Mexican and local influences. The restaurant also has one of the largest collections of tequila bottles. in the world.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Ki’ol: this means “healthy” in mayan. I tried this restaurant at my lunch hour which is located by the main pool of the property. I decided to take my lunch in a nice space that Ki’ol offers at a table over the pool. (something different). It has a wide variety of dishes ranging from local and traditional to international and exuberant. I ordered ceviche from corvina guacamole and tacos! Everything was super delicious.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Wellness restaurant: here was where I had breakfast every morning and which is actually next to the spa area. Just love the space because it inspires a lot of well-being and offers an exquisite menu of pure healthy options.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Actividades<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    As Chabl\u00e9 is located in the Yucatan region there are endless activities to do from cenotes, visit beautiful colorful towns, go to the Mayan ruins, etc. So I’ve made a guide to this region where you can see my recommendations here.<\/p>\n

    However I would like to say that if you are also looking to relax this is a good hotel option. From the 3.5 days I stayed in the region I took one day to enjoy the hotel as there are many things to do inside the property.<\/p>\n

    I would highly recommend grabbing one of their pretty bicycles that they offer to the guests so you can tour the property it\u2019s so fun and such a fascinating property to get lost around.<\/p>\n
