Hola mi queridos viajeros!!! Que tal pasaron su San Valentín? Espero que hayan pasado su día de lleno de mucho amor y felicidad.
A pesar que no este no es un post de San Valentín sin duda es una destino que full recomiendo visitar con su pareja o amistades, así que tomen nota para agregarlo a su bucket list de este año.
Después de haber explorado Kenia por un mes nos mudamos al país vecino wonderful Tanzania. Tanzania es un país maravilloso y seguro han escuchado de el ya que esta rodeados de lugares muy famosos por su belleza única como: la montaña mas alta de África: Kilimanjaro, Serengeti, sus increíbles playas como Zanzíbar, Pemba, el lago Victoria, etc. Muchos de estos son lugares estaré explorando y que ansió poder compartirles muy pronto por acá en esta aventura Tanzaniana.
Nuestro primer destino en este maravillo país fue Serengeti que es uno de los lugares de África mas populares para hacer safaris. Para llegar a Serengeti agarramos un vuelo de Coastal Aviation que es la mejor línea domestica para viajar internamente en Tanzania. Ellos tienen un vuelo de Nariobi a Serengeti donde solo hizo una parada en la frontera para tramitar la visa.
La visa es valida por 3 meses y por una sola entrada la cual tiene un costo de $50 (USD). Si mas no equivoco casi todos los países pagan esto excepto para los americanos que es de $100 (USD). En cuanto a los costos del parque este varia donde te hospedes con esto me refiero al hotel. El costo del parque es de $50 (USD) por día y por persona. Pero si te quedas en un hotel “temporal” hay que pagar un camping fee de $30 (USD) adicional por día y por persona.
En nuestro caso solo pagamos el costo del parque ya que nos íbamos a hospedar en Four Seasons. Sin duda Robert y yo estábamos súper emocionados de empezar nuestra aventura en Serrengeti en este gran hotel. Una de las tradiciones durante tus aventuras de safari de parte de cualquier hotel es empezar con un refrigero al recogerte en el aeropuerto. Este depende de la hora pero siempre te ofrecen jugos, agua, café, te, galletas, champgne o muchas cosas mas. Lo que nos sorprendió a mi y Robert es tener wifi en nuestro safari car jajaja.
Desde que iniciamos estas aventuras de safaris lo primero que preguntábamos era por el Wifi pero nos dimos por vencidos por que ya se imaginaran la cara de las personas cuando preguntábamos esto jajaja. Apenas nuestro conductor empaco todo el refrigero y las maletas lo primero que nos pregunto al montarse al carro fue: Quieren wifi? ya se imaginaran nuestras caras al poder escuchar esto. Si, definitivamente estos son los detalles que hace FS un hotel excepcional.
El hotel es absolutamente una belleza en cuanto a su propiedad e instalaciones. El área donde se toma las comidas es absolutamente pintoresca ya que esta en frete de la piscina donde se pueden observar los elefantes tomando agua de la piscina con vista al fondo de las tantas partes que tiene este maravilloso parque.
Las habitaciones son súper espaciosas, cuenta con una tina, un infinity pool con vista a la vida salvaje y de dónde se aprecian los mejores atardeceres. Sin duda una de las mejores habitaciones que he visitado y de la mas nos ha costado salir ya que siempre queríamos pasar la mayoría del tiempo ahi.
Dentro de nuestra estadía queríamos probar muchas de las actividades del hotel aparte de hacer safari drives que siempre son una experiencia única. Queríamos probar el spa que fue absolutamente uno de los mejores masajes que he tenido y sin duda explorar el discovery center. Si! escucharon bien que tan cool es que el hotel tenga un lugar donde puedas aprender mas sobre su cultura? Robert y yo pasamos bastante tiempo en este lugar aprendiendo y viendo muchas cosas interesantes.
Otra de las actividades que queríamos y mi favorita fue el “Taste of plate”. El cual es una clase de cocina al estilo Swahili. Según mi mama soy pésima cocinando jajaj. Ella dice que no se ni hacer huevos pero es mentira ya que ella cuando estaba joven era dueña de un restaurante claramente tiene estándares muy altos. El poder estar en la cocina sobre todo de tantos meses de no cocinar y después de vender mi apartamento completo sabia que iba a hacer algo interesante y divertido al estar detrás de la cocina nuevamente y definitivamente lo fue. Prometo que no hice ningún desastre o queme el hotel jajaja. Nuestro chef fue el mejor ya que aprendimos mucho sobre el y de su cultura de la parte gastronómica Cocinamos una deliciosa sopa al estilo Swahili la verdad no fue tan difícil como pensé y nos quedo deliciosa.

What an amazing place to stay! The Four Seasons is the gold standard so I’m not surprised you enjoyed so many wonderful experiences. A Swahili style cooking class sounds like fun! And the hot air balloon ride. That’s definitely on my bucket list. My parents went to Tanzania last fall and had a blast. I’ve got to go at some point too!

First off, your photos are incredible! The Four Seasons there look and sound amazing. The infinity pool is something I have yet to have for my own room, but would absolutely love.
