The Architectural Paradise – The Naka Phuket, Thailand

After we had some wonderful first days in Bangkok, my friend Pili and I couldn’t wait to finally touch the Thai sea.

We took a flight from Bangkok to Phuket through Air Asia, which is only 2 hours from Bangkok. Once we arrived at the airport we were picked up by The Naka Phuket who were going to make our first home from which to explore Phuket.

It took us about 40 minutes to get to the airport to the architectural paradise The Naka Phuket.

Immediately when they opened the door of the vehicle we were received by an open black marble lobby with a spectacular view of the property.

The Naka Phuket resort has 95 villas with swimming pools, a secluded beach in Kamala Bay, and is possibly the only resort on the island to offer two natural settings where an exclusive beach meets with an unspoiled hillside. The resort is only accessible via an isolated mountain road making it the perfect location for those seeking to experience the ultimate feeling of seclusion, but the resort is only 10 km away from Phuket’s bustling nightlife area of Patong.

The Naka Phuket is a place where the balance is derived from a villa with a pool with 180 ° sea views and a peaceful mountain air. Each of its suites with swimming pools stands out with cutting-edge engineering and design. Each villa integrates the basic elements of nature; water, sky, tree and earth and has an elegantly designed bedroom, protruding 6 meters beyond the edge offering a unique sleeping experience that was designed by the Thai master Duangrit Bunnag.

All villas are made with glass panels from floor to ceiling to provide panoramic views. Undoubtedly for my friend Pilar and for me it was the best way to wake up with the shining sunlight and the sound of nature and sea. Even when we went to sleep it was such a dreamy experience since we could enjoy the view from our bed: the light of the moon and the stars shining in the sky.

One of the things that we both enjoyed every day while we stay here was putting the music at full volume in their awesome bluetooth speakers all around the villa, enjoying the pool and the outdoor bathtub that we prepared with bubbles to be able to relax.

The Wiwa is the restaurant where we had breakfast when we didn’t order room service which is less than 5 steps from the sea and an infinity pool of 50 meters long. If I had to choose who are the best experts in giving a good breakfast these must be the Thai people. The Naka Phuket also has one of the most delicious and complete breakfasts I have ever tasted. From their own egg station, juice station, yogurt station and a Thai food station. It really was so delicious!

One of my favorite spots around the hotel was the swing that faces the beach, which makes a great photo. I don’t know why I still get excited about swings like I’m still a 10 year old girl lol.

Other of my favorite spots was The Meka- The sky lounge. The word “Meka” means heaven, which we experienced on our first night when we were invited to dine Thai food which was really delicious. The sunsets of the Andaman coast from the Meka are also really impressive and we truly appreciated the ingenious design of the entire complex. I remember we visited The Meka around 4pm to wait for the sunset where we ordered some delicious iconic cocktails and we could hear the sound of the elephants from the jungle that was behind us. It was really impressive to be able to hear them.

I want to thank all the team from The Naka Phuket for having received us and providing us with a formidable hospitality during our stay and especially to the master Duangrit for making our stay more relaxed with this incredible architectural design.

Without a doubt this is a place where I would love to visit again!

xoxo

The Naka Phuket definitely seems like the place to be. I love how secluded it is, yet being in such close proximity to nightlife and the city. I am also a huge music person, so I love the added bonus of being able to blast it while traveling, while not getting any noise complaints. So many beautiful views here and it looks so relaxing!

The Naka Phuket is extraordinary! I am always blown away by your locations and stays but this one really needs to be a resort on my itinerary! You had me at black marble lobby and glass paneled villas! The view! My gracious! The opening shot of you sitting on the ledge is so beautiful! Wiwi sound delicious! I love that it’s so close to the sea! I prefer to be completely emerged even when dining and it seems that this restaurant allows for that! But also, the room service looks just perfect too! What a beautiful design and amazing lux experience!
