Interior Design LOOKS Travel Diaries

St Regis, Mauritius

We have arrived at the last stop of our stay in Mauritius !! Yes, after spending almost 3 weeks in this wonderful island country we decided to finish with a unique experience together with our Starwood family at the spectacular St. Regis Mauritius.

Robert and I were very excited to visit the St. Regis because it was our top choice we wanted to stay at during our stay in Mauritius.

I don’t know about you guys, but when I think of St Regis definitely the first thing that comes to mind is a classic and refined place! And in fact my thoughts fit the reality as the property is very charming and photogenic.

When we arrived to the hotel and the double black gilt gates were opened, we knew we were entering to a different kind of paradise. The design of white tones with details of wood and that black and white tiled floor was what really won my heart. (I think some of my previous posts told you that in another life I would have loved to be an interior decorator)

The hotel property actually is quite large and is located with one of the best views of all of Mauritius as it is next to the most beautiful mountain on Mauritius: Le Morne Brabant. Robert and I went several times to take walks on the beach and were able to capture with the drone the view of the amazing property with the mountain next door.

St Regis has many relaxation spaces including a super large library where you can work comfortably for those people who need a few minutes of concentration. It has a cinema area (yes, you heard well, a cinema!) I had like 4 months of not going to the movies so this was something that definitely thrilled me. And a large terrace where Robert and I had tea time. In fact, this was one of my favorite activities because it is very romantic and fun. They offer you a great variation of salty and sweet snacks made by the chef. It is a highly recommended activity!

It was obvious that I could not leave St. Regis without first experiencing its spa. I was spoiled for a whole morning at the spa which began with a long bath of foam with flowers followed by a great and necessary massage all over the body. As for restaurants you do not need to worry as there are a variety of restaurants depending on your taste. They have such a great variation from sushi, western food, Indian food, Italian food, etc. I really could not have imagined a better way to end our stay in Mauritius than to have it finished with our family of Starwood Hotels.

xoxo

Ok, I’ll start by saying that I really, really, really want to go to Mauritius as I’ve heard so much nice things about it and my mom loved it too, but having seen the pictures from St Regis I know that’s where I’ve got to stay during my vacay over there. It looks like a piece of heaven!

Classic and refined are two of my favorite things when deciding to stay in a hotel! I really can’t get over the beauty of St. Regis. That spa looks something I need right about now. I still haven’t gotten an experience like a massage; that’s hopefully to change later this month. The size is also appealing to me too. I like to be in comfort when I travel and this is perfect!

I am blown away by this beautiful St. Regis Mauritius. I am a huge fan of St. Regis properties as they are all so luxurious and the service is just top notch. This resort is no exception. The spacious rooms, beautiful pools, the lush grounds, and location are all incredible! I am so jealous that you got to stay in this fabulous hotel and need to check it out for our next vacay! xoxo, Christine
