Today is the official release of my return to the blogosphere – Thank you for attending- Lol!  Sorry for been so “MIA” but if you guys have noticed on my social networks I have been traveling around Europe. I recently got back last week directly to work (sick and with jetlag 🙁 ). Despite being sad that my Europe trip has come to an end I’m also super happy and excited to share with all of you my experience and recommendations for this trip.

Since the official release its today I had to make sure to wear something new and cute for my outfit. Duh! So today  I’m premiering one of my favorite pieces this season that I actually got in two different models: The body suit. The first body is the white model with a lace up detail- which is one of my favorite and for sure one of my transition trends for this “fall”. The other light blue model has a low-cut in the back which I also love. Both are from Bikinis and More Panama. If you haven’t been to this store I personally recommend it not only because they have a great variation of bikinis and accessories but also because they just got the most cutest dresses and skirts in affordable prices . Finding a boutique around Panama with reasonable prices is very challenging but Bikinis and more is one of the few that offers you the best prices in the market, the best quality in pieces, and they remain very exclusive to their customers which for me its very important.

As my first “comeback post ” a few days ago I made on my Instagram a Q/A (question and answers) game for the people that wants to know more about me. Many of you responded in comments and others send me direct emails. I must say your comments and emails really made my day. I was not expecting to receive so many so I really want to thank you  all of you for taking the time to respond with questions. My social networks wouldn’t be same without you guys.

Here are the answers of all your questions:

1.       How do you plan your trips and choose the destinations?

I try to plan all my trips in advance. The first thing I do is look for the possible dates and then tried to tide them with holidays – this way I gain more days from my vacations days. As for destinations this really depends on who you travel with. Lately I have been planning  al my travels at the same time as my friend / influencer Robert Michael Poole who is responsible for most of my beautiful photos. Click here to see his profile (@Robertmichaelpoole). We always try to choose places that neither have travel before which is hard since this guy have traveled to 116 countries. Can you guys even believe this? Right now we are planning one in November to a stunning destiny and can’t wait to share it soon with all of you.

2.       Do you do a diet plan?

The true is that I don’t do diet but I do try to eat “healthy” which are 2 different things. In fact I’m trying to eat much better because lately I’ve been skipping meals because of time or being entangled at the office (which in this case is one of the worst thing you can do because this is how your gastritis issues starts) Besides this major problem I’m trying to fixed ASAP I always try to eat healthy in the sense of not eating too much junk food or try not to eat anything heavy after 6pm as carbohydrates. I avoid red meats and once a week do a cheat meal which is usually  my Sundays.

3.       How do you divide your time to travel so much, keep a job, see your family, friends, and your boyfriend and attend to events?

My keys to make this happen are: a good organization, a great balance, a super calendar to save important dates and lastly explain people that are part of your life to understand your schedule (your family and friends is easy but the hardest to understand this point is always the boyfriend or the guy you are dating). As for how I divide my time to keep a job is putting priorities and boundaries (which I began doing half year ago. This is why you see my blog more active). After 5pm from Monday to Friday I turn off my chip of the office because it is time I spend in me or other things. As for events the truth is that I don’t go to all the events I get invited. I would like to attend all of them but I can’t.  So for events I also prioritize which are most important and relevant to attend. And finally its also very important to set a side time for you to make something you like and get you relax like reading a book, watch Netflix, go to the spa, go shopping, etc

4.       Which are your favorite places to shop?

I have some spots in Panama where I love shopping. Some of them are: Zara (never fails), Square Fashion (always have the latest trends with super affordable prices), Flamingo Flamingo (a new boutique with super cute and feminine pieces and also with super affordable prices too), Cupcakes Shop (recommended for different and fun pieces), Belleville (if  you are looking for  LA and Australian brands this is the place), the Hype Panama (I called the Australian brands heaven Lol. If you love Australian brands this is the best place. It’s a bit expensive but each piece worth 100%), Gili and Mafe (another boutique with super accessible and cute pieces). As for online I recommend these: Moda Operandi, ASOS, Urban Outfitters, Nasty Gal, Mischa Collection, etc ..

5.       You always have the perfect outfit in your travels. Which are the pieces that can’t miss in your suitcase?

A good pair of ripped jeans, a comfortable flats and a pair of sunglasses. However, to style your outfit the accessories are the key. The accessories will make the look/outfit more interesting so I always end up taking attractive accessories in my suitcase.

6.       With how many suitcases do you travel with and how much they weigh?

For my recent Europe trip I travelled with 3 bags and the heaviest was 28 pounds jijiji. But believe it or not I have learned how to travel better thru the years meaning more “light”. I learned this when I was traveling a lot for my job where I ended up carrying things that I didn’t even used. Yes, its still the same amount of luggage but this time I do wear everything I take with me. I think the secret is to take basic pieces that can be combined in many ways. As for the shoes which takes most of the space just pack a few pairs that you can wear with most of the outfits you are taking with you.

7.  How do you find places to eat in your travels?

My best tool is Pinterest (I always find the best traveler / bloggers guides in spots to eat and specially in cravings) and Word of Mouth (recommendations from friends are always best). Degusta I used very often in Panama.

8.  My 3 favorite instagramers?

Rosie Clayton (@rclayton), Amy Song (@songofstyle) and Robert Michael Poole (@robertmichaelpoole)

9.  How do you keep such a long and beautiful hair?

I wash my hair every 2 days. Since the beginning of the year I started using the brand: Calia from Canada 100% natural and I must say I have seen the results. I also hydrate my hair with coconut oil, and jojoba oil by making massage on the scalp and in the ends every 2 days. I also use a wooden brush with natural fibers that distribute the natural oil produced by your own hair. As a recommendation that I do every 3 months for an entire month is to cut the hear in your hair (no irons, dryers or curl machines)

10.  If I had to recommend a destination for a couple wedding anniversary which destination will you recommend knowing that is the only place they will get a chance to explore since they are new parents of a toddler?

I just returned from Greece and I felled in love! I recommend this destination to anyone with my eyes closed specially to go with your husband/wife. It is a super romantic destination with extraordinary landscapes and the most delicious food.

11.    What is your favorite destination?

Usually is the the last one I visited since each destination has something different to offer. Some destinations that have really caught my attention are: Belize – a jewel of Central America, San Francisco – such a charming and complete city in every way, Cannes – the truth is that I have only heard about them for its film festival but I was recently there and its such a lovely town and super colorful and lastly Mexico- I haven’t visit many places of Mexico but from all the places I have visited all of them are extraordinary. The country have such rich culture and food.

13.    Now you’re more full time to your blog? Or do you still maintain two jobs?

I still maintain two jobs but now I’m more dedicated to the blog because I stop traveling at work and am not so workaholic anymore J

14.    Are your travels for pleasure or work?

All the trips you see in my blog are for my blog (so its part work and part pleasure). I plan them with my vacation days and at least I try to make a big trip every month and a half to two months.

15.    How do you budget and afford your travels?

The truth is that I have always been very shopaholic and from a few years back I decided to invest that money to travel instead of buying so many clothes. Now my new hobby is to go exploring. Traveling for me is the best education someone can afford and definitely staying in a nice hotel makes the experience better.

16.    How do you keep your curls and wavy hair?

One of my strengths is that I have super thick hair. I use for my curls the Amika iron and to keep them I use coconut oil “small quantity” Also another secret is that my curls last more when the hair have already a day of been washed.

Definitely a ripped jeans and v-neck white tee with cute heels.

22.    Where do you work?

I work in Ralph Lauren as Manager of Marketing and Communications for LATAM.

23.    What kind of suitcase you use to travel?

I use Samsonite with a hard cover and 4 wheels- they are usually expensive but investing in a good bag is the key for its duration. I remember for my first trip to Europe (4 years ago) I invested in a good pair of suitcase with hard layer and 4 wheels of this brand. I paid $ 400 for the big one and $ 200 for the carryon and I still have them intact. For short trips I recently invested in a Louis Vuitton carry-on and have been fantastic they don’t appear to be spacious but you will be surprise how much you can fit in them.

I use Lightroom.

27.    You seem not to use underwear especially in tight outfits. Do you wear underwear?

Yes, I use underwear but this really depends on the item you use. For example, I use a lot of high-waist bottoms as they not only help me to tailor my waist but for me these are far less noticeable through clothing. At the top lately I don’t use anything.

28.    Which are 3 of your favorite brands?

Ralph Lauren, Chanel, and all Australian brands but among those For Love and Lemmons is on topt of my list.

29.    Do you use false eyelashes? You had told us before you don’t use them anymore. Could you tell us how did you make your eyelashes to grow?

I used to have fake eyelashes before. I got enslaving to use them for almost 3 whole years. And I truly would not recommend this anyone. Naturally I do not have many eyelashes this is why I decided to use extension eyelashes; but it was one of the worst decisions I could have ever made in my life. The rubber they used was one of the causes of loosing my great view and now I have to wear glasses, also I used to invest a lot of money in this (I’m talking of $50 for every week to a week and a half), I couldn’t wash my face normally like every other person and I was limited to do a water sport. So I decided to take them off, it was a shock to me at first because when I looked in the mirror I felt like a different person. Even people told me I looked different but gradually my eyelashes grew. It took time but every night I hydrated them before going to bed with jojoba and beaver oil. This oils helps you grow faster, thicker, longer and healthier. I admit that sometimes if you use false lashes for a special event but I immediately take them off after the event.

30.    What routine you do to keep your legs so fit?

I used to do spinning classes from Monday to Friday one hour for almost 3 years. Spining one of the best exercises for your legs. I also used to play football before once a week. And rumors say that all Asian are born with nice legs so it can be for that too (Thanks Dad!)

Not always. I always try to work with local photographers in the country I’m travelling. This is how I know so much photographers.

32.    For a person that is thinking to visit Panama what destination and tips will you recommend?

I definitely recommend starting with the city and stay in Casco Viejo as the American Trade Hotel, enjoy the day and night of this area because they are extremely different. Definitely visit Contadora, San Blas, The Gulf of Chiriquí and if you get to Chiriquí make sure also to go to Boquete and then go to Bocas del Toro and then to start your adventure in Costa Rica

33.    What are your tips for someone who wants to be a blogger?

Invest in a good camera first. Choose well what the focus and content you want to have on your profile and especially the range of colors you want in your photos. This point is extremely important because if you decide to change in the future all your past photos with the new photos will not have a story to tell. Finally, do not post by urgency to post. Its better to take the time until the photo and caption are perfect – this way your impact will be much greater.
