Monaco

Our French Rivera destination have come to an end and we wrap this post with my my dear Monaco. After leaving Nice it took us about 40 minutes to arrived to the second smallest country in the world. A magnet for the rich and famous specially for high-rollers and hedonists that bet everything in the famous Monte Carlo casino. Is also one of the worlds most notorious tax heavens since resident don’t pay income tax. I’m also sure many of you have also heard about Monaco for the famous Formula 1, held every year since 1929.

For our stay Robert and I wanted to stay in the part of the castle known as the Le Palais des Princess of Monaco located around La Roche, home of the royal palace of Monaco. This is the oldest part of Monaco, its basically an ode to concrete and glass dominated by high-rise apartment blocks that rise into the hills like ranks of dominos. In this area basically there’s no hotels so we order to stay here we have to ask our friend Airbnb.

For those who don’t know Airbnb I 100% recommend this app since is the best for home or apartment rentals on a short term and long term. Robert and I stayed in a nice cute loft that we really loved in a really great price “Monaco price” (from then entire Euro trip I founded Monaco as the expensive destination). Literally when we left the house we were just steps away from the places we wanted to visit. What I liked the most is that if I wanted to change my outfit the house was so near that I can easily do that.

Upon our arrival to the city it was a little “pain” because unfortunately there is no parking or there’s no cars circulation at all in that area. We had to left the car in a public parking lot that is the same parking from the Museum Oceangraphique who can easily bring you to the top of La Roche. (For us was a pain to find this out hahaha this is why I’m detailing this so its easier for you guys)

Inside the La Roche there’s many things to do like: visit the Castle, enjoy the little and cute charming apartment alleys with colorful walls each one more beautiful in its  own shape, dozens of restaurants to choose, the Museum Oceangraphique , the Monaco Cathedral, the Fort Antoine, the Vieuz Monaco Musseum, etc.

The only time we left the La Roche was when we wanted to go a explore The Monte Carlo Casino which is definitely a must!! If any of you guys stay in the part of the La Roche I recommend grabbing the little train that you can catch from all up there’s and brings you to the Monte Carlo area.

However, you guys must be very careful in this area because it is danger zone for your credit cards lol!! If you will be visiting this area prepare your self to see the best Luxury retail stores in the fashion industry!! Nothing you can resist so you guys must be prepare J

I hope you enjoyed my last post of the French Rivera!

Love,
