Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!!! Yes, one of my favorite times of the year has arrived!!!

Christmas for me means: Pine tree smell at my moms house, delicious food, and having all my family together spending the best quality time!

Is incredible how fast the years goes by right? I felt I blink and the year was over. Is it because our age or does this happen to everyone that have a busy schedule at work?

Christmas and New Years are the only two occasions my mom as always asked us to make no plans and stay with the family. Since I was born have always spend with my family and this is something I would like to do when I make my own family as well.

The family time is the most valuable and healthy thing for a person. I remember when I was little to be so happy when christmas arrived because of the gifts. But when you growth older you realize you are not a kid anymore and instead of gifts you learn to value other things like sharing, giving, been in peace and armory with the entire family. Now the little kids are another generations from our own families and having to watch a kid to open a present you given is priceless!!

Everyone says that christmas is for kids!! Yes, but the truth is that is for everyone but each person appreciate things differently. Having part of my family to come all over from Costa Rica is such a great value that I feel so lucky in having the opportunity to share it with the people I love the most.

I am a girl with big families and I actually love big families. Having big families have their pros and cons.. but more pros like: requieres a lot of planning and organization (love planning ), everything is a disaster in a good and funny way (organizing an entire family is not easy but worths every penny when you are all together), more family back up for anything to want to propose to yourself, you have more opinions from different perspectives, everything is cheaper by a doze Lol (since we are to much we always get discounts) and the family jokes are the best!!!

Another thing I enjoy from the family events are the decorations, setting up the table, propping the christmas tree, help at the kitchen, etc…. My sister Pamela and me actually were in charge in all the christmas decoration and table set up. What did you guys though about it? We seriously accept proposals to decorate your families dinners or events..

As a Costarican tradition we open the presents the 24 of December after midnight. We usually don’t wait until the next day at the morning like most families. After we open presents we make games like charadas (guess the mimics), the letter games, etc… then we eat all over again until we fallen sleep!

When I was younger I remember that I used to go out with my friends after I had dinner with my family. But now that does not even cross my mind. I´m always so tired that I prefer to stay home in my own bed. Yes Im old!
